Precautions for storage, cutting and pasting of reflective film

Reflective film is mainly used for road traffic signs, safety signs, construction signs, advertising signs and other signs, signs and other fields.

1、 Storage

The reflective film should be stored in a ventilated and dry room with a temperature of 18-24 ℃ and a relative humidity of 30-50%. The packing case shall be placed flat on the pallet or base plate and shall not touch the ground directly; The number of stacking layers shall not exceed 5. The reflective film shall be used within one year after purchase.

2、 Trimming

Operating environment for uncoiling or cutting: the reflective film shall be placed at 25 ± 3 ℃ and 30-50% relative humidity for more than 24 hours before operation. Clean the workplace and tools.

It is recommended that operators wear silk or cotton gloves when cutting reflective film to avoid damaging or polluting the reflective film surface.

The cut reflective film shall be placed on a flat and smooth platform, and the platform area shall be larger than the area of the cut reflective film. If it is not used temporarily, the plastic bag shall be put on and the bag mouth shall be fastened to prevent moisture absorption. Membranes of the same shape and size must be stacked neatly. The stacking height shall not exceed 3cm. Do not pressurize any heavy objects.

The reflective film with a length of more than 3m and a large area shall be tightly rolled on the paper tube (the inner diameter of the paper tube shall not be less than 100mm), fixed with three adhesive tapes and placed vertically on the plastic bracket to avoid "tunnel" phenomenon. The opened reflective film shall be used as soon as possible. The unused reflective film shall be rolled onto the original paper tube by tightening the edge of the film, and fixed at least three places with adhesive tape. Plastic brackets shall be installed on both ends of the paper tube, and the plastic bag shall be put back into the original paper box. You can also put an iron bar in the center of the reflective film paper tube and place it horizontally on the special shelf or vertically on the plastic bracket. It is prohibited to throw the unused reflective film directly on the ground or lean against the wall.

3、 Film application method

Selection of base material: It is recommended to stick it on clean and flat aluminum plate or stainless steel plate after proper treatment. It is not recommended to paste directly on the surface of plastics, rubber, wood and other substrates. If it needs to be pasted on the base material of non aluminum plate or stainless steel plate, the user shall determine the application adaptability of the reflective film.

Base material treatment: aluminum plate and stainless steel plate just leaving the factory have very smooth surface, which is not conducive to pasting. It needs to be polished with 400-500 # sandpaper in circular arc direction. Before pasting, it must be scrubbed with degreasing solvent, washed with clean water and dried.
